Purpose and responsibility
Auckland Film Studios is committed to everyone returning home healthy and safe. A safe working environment and strong safety culture are shared responsibilities. Contractors and vendors must actively contribute to creating and maintaining a safe workplace.
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, everyone on site has safety obligations. PCBUs must consult, cooperate, communicate, and coordinate so hazards are identified and controlled.
Competence, training, and fitness for work
Everyone working on site must hold the certificates, qualifications, licences, and training required to do their work safely. Documentation must be current and available to Studio Management before undertaking work that requires certification.
There is zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol on site. Workers must arrive fit for work and report any injury, illness, medication, or condition that could affect safe work.
Hazards, risk assessments, and incident reporting
Everyone is responsible for identifying hazards and controlling risk using the hierarchy of controls: eliminate, substitute, isolate, engineer, administer, and use PPE where required.
Specialist or hazardous work may require a risk assessment before work starts. Studio Management must be informed and must approve required risk assessments. Accidents, incidents, near hits, and hazards must be reported to your supervisor and Studio Management as soon as practicable.
Site rules and emergency procedures
Workers must use appropriate PPE, only use equipment they are trained and qualified to use, follow posted signage, keep fire lanes clear, and follow site fire, earthquake, and medical emergency procedures.
Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated areas. The site speed limit is 10 km/h. In an emergency, call 111. Auckland Film Studios Gate 1 is at 2 Hickory Avenue, Henderson.
